Do you expect your friends to handle conflict the same way you do, then feel angry when they don’t? A challenge of mature friendship is to respect the diverse ways we manage feelings, even if it drives us nuts. Not everyone is as direct & intense with their feelings as you are – or, maybe, as slow and deliberate to share. A different way isn’t necessarily a wrong way. Stay open to difference, and you may save a friendship in the process.
