GirlTip #115: Actually Interesting Informational Interview Questions You Can Ask

By Rachel Simmons

  • Self Image
  • Achievement & Failure

Hey new & recent college grads! What questions should you ask in an informational interview with someone you admire? No one will tell you this, so let me be the one: “How we got where we are” is hard (and pretty annoying) to answer. Instead, ask us about the mistakes we made and what we learned from them. Ask us about the attitudes and beliefs that served us and the assumptions and expectations that didn’t. Ask us what we wish we knew then that we know now.
